![](images/spacer_FFFFFF.jpg) Trey Gunn
![](images/spacer_FFFFFF.jpg) Live In Chicago, September 6th, 2000
![](images/spacer_FFFFFF.jpg) Review by Gary Hill
![](images/spacer_FFFFFF.jpg) Trey Gunn and his cohorts came into Chicago and showed that they are definitely masters of their craft. The group performed a number of tracks from Trey's various releases. If you came to the show expecting to hear King Crimson, you would have been disappointed. If what you came for was a vital, guitar-driven, groove-oriented prog instrumental show, you would have been in luck. The band delivered that in spades. This was definitely a show for sitting back and listening to some killer music. Trey's particular style is really hard to pin down, but to quote a famous saw, "I don't know if it's art, but I like it." So did the rest of the audience. Everyone really seemed to enjoy the performance and went away pleased.
