Money, Marketing & Myths Inside the Musician's Corner - Volume One written by by Tom Leu

Review by Gary Hill

If you are a musician in a local or regional band that's trying to make it in the business this book is for you. Whether you are a solo artist, a manager, a publicist, or pretty much any other person working in the music field, you'll get a lot from Tom Leu's creation. Leu has years of experience in the business and with this document he shares what he has learned about success with you the reader.

The thing is, even if you aren't involved in the business of music, there is probably a lot here for you, too. Leu's success techniques and positive (but realistic) approach can be applied to a lot more than just the business of creating and marketing sound. The thing is, unlike many resources of this type, it's also an entertaining reading experience. Leu speaks in terms that can be understood by virtually anyone and speaks with a passion that's downright contagious. All of these factors make this book a "must have" resource. Leu himself says that for artists on the higher, national "big time" circuit, this book probably won't provide a lot of answers. The truth is, though, the people who have achieved that level are a minority, and this book is for the rest of the musicians out there. Even, so, I would guess that it would be an insightful read even for those who have achieved that level that so many strive to attain. I'd also say that some of his concepts about songwriting and performance can still benefit a lot of the big guys.

The book will give you new ideas on promotion, attracting and keeping an audience and a whole lot more. He's also been through both the good parts and the bad sides of "making" it, and that experience is invaluable. So, what are Leu's credentials? Well, he's been a practicing musician for years, but that's only the half of it. Leu writes a column called "The Musician's Corner®" that's syndicated and runs in hundreds of publications. He also does "The Musician's Corner®" radio segments that are broadcast on over 50 broadcast radio stations in 18 states. Granted, he's got quite a few other ventures and credentials, but these are the ones that matter most to the potential readers of this book. For more information on Leu stop by his website. When you see all the other ventures this guy is involved with, you'll be sold. For more about Money, Marketing & Myths Inside the Musician's Corner - Volume One check out this site. If you are a musician and haven't already read this book, what are you waiting for?
