Geggy Tah Into The Oh Review by Gary Hill The music of Geggy Tah is quite hard to put your finger on. It is modern, alternative even, but includes solid retro leanings. The names Steely Dan and George Michael would likely pop into your head at least once while listening to this album. The lyrics cover both serious issues and the cleverly humorous. This music tends to be danceable but still reflective. All of these things make Into The Oh both an entertaining album and one that should hold up well. Track by Track Review

Good Night to the Machine This is a percussive based mood piece. It is an extremely brief introduction based on vocalist Tommy Jordan's grandfather speaking to the answering machine.

One Zero A great dance-oriented, synthetically textured cut, this has a good groove.

Dumb Submarine Starting with great ethereal tones, this one is about the isolation of the Internet age. It has a nice groove to it. It also has a great techno progressive break.

Sweat Feeling a bit like George Michael's more R & B oriented tracks, this one features a great scat sort of texture and is one of the best cuts on the disc.

Holly Oak With a great retro R & B texture, this is another standout piece.

Space Heater A techno textured slow groove, this one is best represented by the vocals and piano work.

Love Is Alone This composition is a faster paced, more modern groove that has a killer texture. It features some killer piano work.

Special Someone This one has a great retro groove. The organ sound on the track works particularly well.

I Forgot Based on a great old time mellow rock and roll texture and humorous lyrics, this song gets more modern in texture after a time. However, even then it retains its fun loving textures.

Aliens Somewhere A very electronic loop/percussion mode begins this cut. As the melodic elements enter, they are in the form of a mellow alternative rock style, but the cut includes a recurring segment that is in a fast paced bass founded progish style. This is one of the strongest numbers on the disc with its them "All of us are aliens somewhere, Help yourself by helping another."

I'll Find My Way This has a great jazzy groove. It feels a bit like Steely Dan, but is also quite a funky sort of jazz presence. The instrumental break is particularly strong.

Love is in Love This cut is a different rendition of "Love Is Alive".
