There’s a cool blend of music on this disc. At times it’s not far removed from Americana and classic rock. Other cuts lean heavily on pure folk music, while different points in the set seem more like country music. However you slice it, though, this is an entertaining set that, while not perfect, is pretty consistent.

There’s a cool classic rock vibe as a guitar solos this one into being. The vocals make me think of a cross between Tom Petty and Bob Dylan. This is a catchy tune that has some great guitar soloing.

Bluegrass is the main musical concept here with some folk. This is high energy and very much in a down home style.

Although there’s still some country in the mix, this is more pure folk music. It’s got energy and it’s tasty. A harmonica solo is a nice touch.

More of a rock song, this is not bad, but a bit lackluster after the first three tunes.

Here’s a bouncy, countrified folk tune.

Another folk cut, the vocals sometimes go off key here, making this one a “hit skip” moment.

There’s a lot of energy on this and it’s got a folk meets singer/songwriter sound. There is some cool guitar soloing in place and the vocals are strong.

Featuring some killer slide guitar, this is a more straightforward, mainstream classic rock song. There is a section later in the track where the chorus seems to get repeated a few too many times.

We get an intricate folk tune here that’s pretty cool.

I’m somewhat reminded of Dire Straits in terms of music here. The vocals, though, are still in the vein of Tom Petty.

As the title suggests, this is a reprise of the earlier tune. The vocals here are better. That makes this superior.

Here we get a psychedelic folk song. This is a bit odd, but also quite cool.

There’s a definite countrified element to this tune. It reminds me a lot of The Grateful Dead, though.

With nature sounds, this is a down-home folksy tune. It’s not bad, but the vocal are a bit hard to take sometimes.

I really don’t like this song at all. It just seems to drag on and on. The vocals are weak and there’s something on this that sounds a lot like an accordion (I don’t see accordion listed in the credits). There are two instruments I just can’t stand, bag pipes and accordion and this sure sounds like that second one. Overall, the disc would have been stronger without this cut.
