Are the Buggles progressive rock? Most likely, no. However, I include them in the progressive rock section mainly because of the fact that they have been involved in prog bands (most notably Yes). This 12 inch single is out of print, but pretty easy to obtain online. It’s got two cool cuts that show two different sides of the Buggles. And, yes, they are proggy, if not prog.

This starts like a live performance with crowd noise. It works out from there into a bouncy little number that’s quite pop oriented. It has some great drama and some nice shifts and changes, though. It turns a bit hard rocking near the end.
