Black Leather Heart

Review by Gary Hill

This EP is a dance music set. The vocals seem to be a little over-processed for my tastes. The music also has a tendency towards over-produced. All that said, though, it’s a fun set with some good songs.

This review is available in book format (hardcover and paperback) in Music Street Journal: 2014  Volume 6 at lulu.com/strangesound.

Track by Track Review
She Wants to Play with Fire

This is killer dance music with a real soulful vocal line. It’s fun stuff with a lot of energy.

Camouflage
Even more electronic in terms of the music, the vocals are a little more natural here. This is good stuff, too. It’s similar, but different enough to keep it from feeling redundant.
Not in Love
This is mellower. It has some great melodies. It’s a nice change, too.
Need You Tonight
This is a cover of the INXS song. I never really liked that group. I kind of like this full on electronic treatment.
Cruel Devotion
I think this is my favorite tune. It’s energetic and really classy. It just has a great vibe to it. It’s like 80s electro-pop.
