Ferentz and the Felons Hudson County EP Review by Gary Hill If you like mainstream rock music, you will want to check this new EP out. There are only two songs, but both are very strong. The first has more of a 70s rock element, while the second is set more in a modern alternative rock sound. That said, they are clearly connected sonically, too. This sampling of the act has me ready to hear more from them. If you give it a try, it might have the same effect on you. Track by Track Review

Ash Moon There is a driving energy and vibe to this cut. The sound is rocking, but it has plenty of country and folk music built into it. It's a really classy tune and features some intriguing guitar sounds and fills. Overall the song has a real 70s southern rock vibe to it.

Hudson County While in some ways this isn't a huge change, it is more modern in texture. It does rock a bit harder, too. This is a dramatic cut that's very powerful. The guitar solo section is fresh and tasty. As much as I liked the other song, it's obvious that this was the right song for the title track. It's the stronger of the two.
