Apache Rose

Attention! (digital single)

Review by Gary Hill

This is the second single I've heard (and reviewed) for this Russian act. Like the first one, this number is a killer slab of energized rock music. I think I might actually like this one better than that previous one.

This review is available in book (paperback and hardcover) in Music Street Journal: 2020  Volume 2. More information and purchase links can be found at: garyhillauthor.com/Music-Street-Journal-2020.

Track by Track Review
Attention!
Coming in acapella and a bit distant, after a time a reggae sort of vibe joins the arrangement. After a while like that the number takes on more of a hard rocking sound. It's catchy and meaty. It's also a lot of fun with a bit of a punk edge to it. There is a drop back to the reggae styled stuff from an instrumental section that includes some meaty guitar sounds. We're taken back into the song proper for a classy return. After the vocal section set in that zone, a short instrumental take on the reggae concept ends the piece.
