In addition to this new single, I've also reviewed a 2020 EP from this artist in the latest issue. I have to say that, while this definitely has its charms, it's not as strong as that EP. That said, it does lean more toward pure pop music, which will probably make it the real winner of the two for some people. Besides, it is very effective. It just pales a bit in comparison to the older music.

The opening here feels like a modern pop song in terms of its over-processed vibe. That ends, though, and we get a funky, jazzy number with great hooks and energy. The vocals at times make me think of No Doubt, and there are some hints of ska in the musical arrangement at times. It is catchy and classy. It's also very cool.
