Review by Gary Hill

I'm reviewing two EPs from this New Jersey act in this issue of Music Street Journal. This one was released in 2021. Like the other, it includes four songs. The music here has a lot of angles to it. There are some progressive rock elements, yet the closer is punky. Overall, there is a lot of psychedelia in the mix, and that's probably the most consistent element. The thing is, no matter how hard this is to categorize and label, it's very creative and effective.

This review is available in book (paperback and hardcover) form in Music Street Journal: 2023  Volume 3 More information and purchase links can be found at: garyhillauthor.com/Music-Street-Journal-2023.

Track by Track Review
I Know What to Do
This blasts in with a mode that seems to merge alternative rock and jazzy angles. The cut works out to a poppy sort of groove that has a lot of psychelia and prog in the mix. I love the dreamy, soaring quality to this number.
Meat

Another that seems to jump right in, there is a cool, quirky angle to this piece. It's still decidedly proggy. This gets rocking and seriously psychedelic later.

Get You When I Get It

This is really cool stuff. It's a lot less proggy, but it has so much retro psychedelia built into it. It's a rocking number with some serious garage band sound.

I Got a Right
While this is hard rocking and punky, it has some proggy edges to it in some ways. The guitar solo is fierce. The whole song has a great energy to it.
