This is one Italian export that knows how to rock America, and rock they did at the Ash Street Saloon in Portland. This is a tight alternative metal outfit consisting of four very talented guys who simply play like monsters, with energy to spare. They ran through a hot set of songs from their debut CD, and the songs have an even better feel to them on stage as they come completely alive in translation. These songs are full of protest and beauty at the same time, with glorious power chords and screaming vocals. I wasn't expecting the cuts to breathe this well but they did, I was just out of breath with applause.

One by one they simply rocked the house and left our jaws on the floor as they ripped the place in half. There is a lot going on with this band on stage, and their singer is a mad front man with energy to spare. It was a mesmerizing show with everyone putting in a fabulous performance. The drummer has to be one of the most energetic pounders around, as he did not miss a beat and provided an up front sound. The bass helped hold the groove down, along with both guitars menacing each other. They didn't have anymore material so it was a fine way to promote the new release, Till You Decay.

There wasn't a huge crowd, so it was an easy show to take in and just concentrate on the music, and everyone expressed their enthusiasm for this killer group of hard rock and metal minded musicians. Most bands would crawl away from such a gig, but these guys came right off the stage and thanked everyone and mingled like they didn't even break a sweat. It was an amazing experience, so if you're up for some mind blowing metal, Klogr delivers it with a passion like no other in today's world of chaos. They write and play with an unmatched power.
