Ballad Collection Special Edition
Review by Gary Hill
A two-disc set, this one includes both ballad collections (volume one and two). The album features a number of great prog ballads and several interesting cover renditions.

Covers Collection
Review by Gary Hill
Lana Lane has one of the best voices in prog rock, and her band seems to do a better job of combining prog and harder textures in a palatable and accessible melange of sound. Here the group turns their attention to nothing but covers, and it is a mixed bag.

Gemini
Review by Gary Hill
Like the new Erik Norlander disc, this one is an album of covers. While this CD works quite well, I’d have to say I prefer the other one.

Project Shangri-La
Review by Gary Hill
In the liner notes to this album Lane says that she and Erik Norlander (her husband and main musical cohort) were just starting work for this album when the tragedy of September 11th, 2001 occurred. She goes on to speak about how hard it was to start the project in the midst of all that.

Red Planet Boulevard
Review by Gary Hill
There have always been those who have felt that Lana Lane belonged more under the heavy metal banner than progressive rock. This album will certainly lend fire to that argument.

Secrets of Astrology
Review by Gary Hill
Lana Lane has a spectacular voice. Honestly, any review of a CD of hers, could at least start with, if not consist almost entirely of that statement.

Winter Sessions
Review by Gary Hill
This album by Lana Lane features a number of originals and several covers. She and the band even reach back to cover some old jazz cuts, and show that they can do just about anything as they pull it off with a completely convincing style.

Lana Lane - 10th Anniversary Concert DVD
Review by Gary Hill
You really can't go wrong with Lana Lane. She consistently puts out killer music, and this DVD is no exception. Of course, a big part of that is the musicians with whom Lane surrounds herself, and along with husband Erik Norlander, this DVD finds her in the company of Mark McCrite, Peer Verschuren, Kristoffer Gildenlow and Ernst Van Ee.

Erik Norlander - And Friends - Live in St. Petersburg DVD
Review by Gary Hill
As to be expected from Erik Norlander and his friends, the newly released DVD documenting his landmark concert in St. Petersburg, Russia (and chronicling the three-month 2004 tour as they traveled east from California to the Russian city) is another must-have from this group. It contains 90 minutes and 15 songs from the St. Petersburg concert, which features the vocals of Lana Lane and Kelly Keeling.

Various Artists - Got Prog? - Sampler 1
Review by Greg Olma
Sampler compilations are always sketchy endeavors. I for one would not want to compile one myself. My tastes are far too wide and I would be thinking of what I like and not what I thought fits best.

Erik Norlander - Into the Sunset
Review by Gary Hill
This solo release from Rocket Scientist Erik Norlander is a very strong CD. He enlists the aid of quite a few of his friends to pull the disc together, and the result a very solid prog CD with some metallic elements.

Erik Norlander - Surreal
Review by G. W. Hill

I’ve always loved Erik Norlander’s music. His sonic style lands in modern prog territory in some ways, but more than anything it’s rooted in the classic progressive rock of the 1970s.
