Clutch

Full Fathom Five DVD

Review by Gary Hill

As far as I’m concerned Clutch is an incredibly cool band. Their blend of classic rock textures with metal and other sounds produces something that’s basically a cousin of stoner metal. It is also a sound that comes to its full fruition in the live performance. That makes this video document perhaps the most accurate record of the band that you can bring home with you. We get bits from a whole series of shows. The nice thing is, though, there isn’t a lot of interruption. There’s a quick little bit between shows to let you know you are shifting from one to another, but nothing very obtrusive. The long and short of it? This thing seriously rocks! Clutch is an incredible band and this is a great DVD of that incredible band.
