Roxy Music

More Than This: The Story of Roxy Music DVD

Review by Gary Hill

I never really followed Roxy Music when they were around. I now wish I had. This group was an extremely influential and intriguing act. This DVD is one of the better biography type documentaries I’ve seen. Part of the reason it’s as good as it is, is that with many of these things you get people who were just very far off in the periphery of a music scene. With this one we get interviews with many of the key players in the whole operation. There’s also some great live footage. All in all, this is an excellent documentary and I’d recommend it highly to both fans of the band and those who have never really checked them out before. I can pretty much guarantee you’ll want to get some of their music after you watch this.
