Judas Priest

Live Vengeance ’82 DVD

Review by Gary Hill

As the title suggests, this DVD captures Judas Priest live in 1982 on their Screaming for Vengeance tour. As someone who saw them twice on that tour, I can attest it was one of their best, at least until the reunion with Rob Halford. The video quality and audio quality are both quite good, but the technology of the day wasn’t up to the current expectations. Still, it won’t be a disappointment either. It should be noted that some might own this on VHS as it was originally issued that way. It also came as a DVD with the deluxe edition of the Metalogy box set. For my money, I think Rising in the East is a stronger show and DVD, but this one is quite potent, too. It’s certainly worth having.
