David Bowie
Rare and Unseen DVD
Review by Gary Hill
These Rare and Unseen collections are quite intriguing in terms of what you get. The whole picture, though tends to be rather amateurish. Instead of assembling it into some kind of collage that makes sense in a cohesive way, unrelated pieces are strung together sort of hodge podge to build the DVD. So, the whole project falls or flies based on the quality of those pieces. There are some cool ones here, mostly the interview segments. Some are stronger than others, but all are worth having. This will definitely appeal to hardcore Bowie fans. Those with a more casual interest will probably want to look elsewhere.
