CeeLo Green

Loberace Live in Vegas BluRay

Review by Gary Hill

CeeLo Green is an entertainer. It’s important to keep that in mind when watching this. It’s more about entertainment of the most over the top variety than it is a concert or a real music experience. There are no musicians on the stage and I’m guessing all the music is canned. This is performance entertainment. With that in mind, it runs a gamut of musical styles. Green’s vocals are always adequate and sometimes pretty awesome. I love it when he gets into soulful rocking territory with his voice. At times Prince would be a fairly valid reference point. In terms of the show, this includes lots of costumes and stage gimmicks. It could be considered over the top, but really it’s good Vegas fun. I don’t think you could call this a great concert (or even a concert, really). You can, however, call it a great show. The video and audio are both top notch here. This is a classy production all the way around.
