George Thorogood and the Destroyers

Live At Montreux 2013 DVD

Review by Gary Hill

George Thorogood rocks. There’s no argument to be made there. The performance is top-notch. The song selection is good, covering a wide swath of Thorogood’s career. The band is well rounded. The audio and video production are both great, too. The real issue here is quantity, not quality. The show is less than an hour and a half long and it would have been nice to have more rocking Thorogood music. George Thorogood’s brand of old tome rock and roll delivered with a more modern twist and angle is so good that you just want the show to keep going. There is a short interview as a bonus feature. This is well worth having no matter how you slice it.
