Bachman

Bachman BluRay

Review by Gary Hill

This documentary is quite strong. I was always a big fan of The Guess Who, but a bit underwhelmed by BTO. Looking at it with the eyes of someone who was never a huge fan, it's eye-opening to see just how influential Randy Bachman has been in the world of rock music, particularly in Canada. With interviews, cool footage and more, the story of the man and his art becomes very clear. People interviewed here include Bachman himself and members of his family, Alex Lifeson, Neil Young, Peter Frampton and more. I love how this video gives an appreciation of not just Bachman's music, but also his personality and life. It includes several bonuses in the form of longer interviews and a trailer. If you have been a fan of Bachman in any part of his career, you really need to see this. Even if you have never really gotten into his music, but just have an interest in rock music history in general, you can't miss this thing.
