Andrew Goldring Cosmic Dance (digital single) Review by Gary Hill
This is a brand new single from Andrew Goldring. I'm always a bit skeptical of singles because a lot of pop music (particularly these days) has a tendency to be over-produced and shallow. Well, that's clearly not true of this. I can't tell you if I'd land more music from Goldring under prog, but this has enough ties to modern prog acts for me to put it there.

Cosmic Dance
A slow musical element that's almost folk-oriented opens this. As it grows out from there the piece is accessible, but also full of intriguing layers of sound. This is moody, but also manages to soar. It's pretty and very powerful. There are elements of 80s euro-pop here, but it's so well tied to the space modern prog of acts like RPWL and Pineapple Thief that the comparison has to be made. I love the rather noisy guitar solo bits. The whole cut is just really cool. I have to say that I really want to hear more from this artist. This is so strong. It has a great balance between raucous and soaring majesty.
