The first of three singles from this artist, this song is not progressive rock in a traditional sense. However, it is art rock. It's also not that far removed from the kind of music that Kate Bush does. Therefore I'm landing it under prog.
Lightning Strike This song starts slow and sedate. Some vocals come in over the top of that backdrop. The vocals work upward in emotion and intensity. The music rises to meet it. This feels a lot like a cross between Bjork and Kate Bush to me. It has a definite dreamy kind of element at play. This is quite intriguing and gets very powerful. Yet, it also has a bit of a modern pop element to it in some ways. It does reach toward the more rocking end of the spectrum as the cut approaches the end.
