Metaspion

Pyros (digital single)

Review by Gary Hill

Metaspion is a Norwegian electronic artist. This song features vocals from hip hop artist Skam R' Tist. This new single is probably unlike anything you've heard before. It's adventurous and well worth at least one spin. You might find you don't want to stop hearing after that one time, though.

Track by Track Review
Pyros
The blend of sounds on this is quite intriguing. There is a lot of electronic music in the mix. Many of the melodic textures are Celtic in nature. The breakout movement around the two-minute mark really emphasizes that aspect, but it permeates most of the song.  This gets into some seriously driving rocking zones at times. Yet there is a definite hip hop edge to this. It all combines to create something that is unique and effective. It's also entertaining.
