INViDA & Muza featuring Juliette Reilly - Chameleon (digital single) Review by Gary Hill This is a new single. It has an electronic pop sound to it. It's rooted in old-school R&B. I think it's a good tune, but suffers a bit from some of the trappings of modern music. It's still effective despite that failing. Chameleon A classic soulful pop sound opens this cut. The vocals come in just a tiny bit over-produced for my tastes. Mind you, it's not all the time. Parts of the cut has cleaner vocals that work pretty well. Juliette Reilly sounds a bit like Amy Winehouse at times. The backing vocals are often over-processed, feeling more synthetic. Honestly, I'd love to hear this song with a bit lighter touch on the production. It seems like a catchy and intriguing piece of music. It just seems too anti-septic at times. Just because you can do something in production, doesn't mean you should. Sometimes simpler is better.
