I know it is the old cliché, "music used to be better." While there is some truth to that, the fact is, there is a lot of great music being made today. If you listen to pop radio, though, you'll hear a nearly steady stream of over-produced music. Too much pop music today has all the humanity sucked out of it by computer processing. Well, this is an example of how you can still find quality stuff in the seemingly endless wasteland of modern pop rock music. I previously reviewed another single from this artist, and as much as I liked that one, I think this is even stronger.

There is a bit of a dreamy, mysterious element to this as it works outward. Alternative rock is integral to the core of this piece. The vocal hooks are catchy, and the vocal delivery is strong. This tune has a real pop rock vibe, but without a lot of the overproduction that is so prevalent in a lot of modern pop music. This is quite an effective piece. It's not quite a ballad, but not really a rocker either, landing somewhere in the middle of the road in terms of intensity.
