I previously reviewed the EP from which this single comes at Music Street Journal. For the sake of consistency, I've adapted my review of this song on that release for use here. The violin adds quite a bit to this new single. Still, this is more of an alternative pop tune than it is anything else.

This is energetic and fun. It's also retro tinged. The thing is, this lands in line with the modern roots music movement. It has a lot of bluegrass built into it. Sure, it's still delivered with an alternative pop edge, but this has a plenty of old-school stuff at its musical core. There is a bit of a quirky edge to this that could feel awkward, but is more charming than anything else.
