C'mon, C'mon!
The cool guitar dominated jam that starts this has hints of spooky music in a rock and roll arrangement. Think of the theme to “The Munsters.” This works into more of a mainstream pop rock song after a time. |
Fool, My Eye (remix 2025)
Pop rock and alternative merge on this energetic tune. It’s a fun romp that works well. |
Together (remix 2025)
Pop rock with some killer guitar work is the main element here. There are country and other roots elements at play, though. |
Rain Downtown
This tune has more of a soft rock meets pop rock vibe. It also has some killer melodic elements. |
Shadow Talk
A soft rock tune that blends melodic tock with alternative elements, this is classy stuff. |
Nightlights
Bouncy, this features a classy alternative rock vibe along with plenty of pop music. It’s fun, but not as meaty as some of the rest. |
This is Love
Here we have a bouncy pop rocker that works well. I wouldn’t consider it a standout, but it is definitely effective. |
Of the Promises
One of my favorites on the disc, this acoustic based number reminds me of something Crosby, Stills and Nash might do, but without the harmonies. I really dig the bass work on this thing. |
The Longest Time (remix 2025)
Here we’re back into more alternative rock zones. This is a solid tune that somehow even has some hints of progressive rock. It’s one of the standouts here. I really love the guitar solo on the track. |
C'mon, C'mon! (reprise)
While not a big change, there is a cool, rather trippy groove at times on this. It gets into some playful, almost island vibes later, too. I think I prefer this version to the one that opened the disc. |
