Live In Chicago-October 27th, 1999

Review by Gary Hill

Touring the US for the first time since 1985, ABC came out on stage and gave a very strong performance of their biggest hits and some lesser-known numbers. The audience really ate up the show. The band went through such classics as "How To Be A Millionaire", "Poison Arrow" and "Look of Love" with a very convincing performance. Martin Fry's trademark voice was in fine form throughout the show. The band all performed quite well, pulling off very close renditions of some songs that were quite definitely studio creations. The only complaint about this concert was its length at just over an hour. Still, this reviewer found himself with ABC songs firmly embedded in his head for days afterward.
