First of all, what can be said about Blondie and Deborah Harry that hasn't already been said? The band are absolutely classic and she is iconic. I've always loved the original band, and most if not all of her solo stuff, as well. But seeing them live was not something I've had the opportunity to do in a long time, so it was important to take in as much as possible. The production was very big because the stage is huge at this venue, and it dazzled well and gave it all a big feel.

Most of their best was played, and it was all done very very well, but I did notice they resorted to covers by the Beastie Boys and Frankie Goes To Hollywood. Yet, they did not play “Maria,” which is their latest hit song, and a really big favorite of mine. I found that to be the only thing I'd change. As for Harry herself, she put on a performance that might just shock even Lady Ga Ga fans.

It was hard not to notice her onstage behavior was showstopping, but somehow over the top at times. The band made all the difference and they kept the crowd on their toes the entire show. The two covers they did were the encores, which surprised me all the more. Stiill, it all had that classic era Blondie sort of vibe to it, which in a big venue really went down a smash. The floor of the theater was hopping the entire set, so they were doing something right.
