Rockeando El Pavimento

Review by G. W. Hill
I really like this album a lot. This band is from Spain. The majority of the lyrics are in Spanish. That doesn't interfere with the enjoyment of the music a lot. These guys play a form of metal that has a decent amount of punk built into it, but yet they are more accessible than you might think based on that. This leans toward classic rock sounds in a lot of ways. However you slice it, though, this is high energy metal that just works really well.
Track by Track Review
Autopista

The sounds of a motorcycle open this. Then they fire out with some screaming hot rock. This is part metal and part punk. It's all cool.

Feel so High
This metal stomper is in English. It's catchy and quite tasty.
Bar Whisky Bar
This one has more of that punk edge with some modern metallic sound also built into it. It is screaming hot in a lot of ways. Some of the lyrics seem to be in English while some are in Spanish.
Cabaret 11 AM
There is a cool metal grind to this one. The piece is high energy and quite strong. It's really quite catchy.
Caceria
There is a really sultry kind of groove to this metal number. The rhythmic element makes it in a lot of ways.
24
This starts mellower and more melodic and then fires out to some more metallic stuff. All that said, this is more of a classic rock styled thing than it is pure metal.
Down
There is some great melodic rock built into this cool rocker.
Dr. Brujo
Hard rocking and a lot of fun, this has a bit of a punky edge. To me it feels a bit like Guns N' Roses in some ways.
Desertor
More of a pure metal stomper with some raw rock and roll in the mix, this one works really well. It's definitely furious.
Intravenus
There is a rubbery kind of groove to this. It's perhaps not all that metallic, but it's a lot of fun.
Ira
Here we get another driving metal stomper.
Ritual
Screaming hot a furious, there is a bit of a punk vitality to this.
Viernes Oscuro
I dig this metal screamer quite a bit. It has some great guitar soloing and energy.
Voltios
This has a raw punk vibe to this screamer, too.
