Working for a Good Tip (single)

Review by Gary Hill

I've not heard of this act before. Once things start opening up, and I'm comfortable checking out live music, I'll be on the lookout for them, though. They hail from Chicago - which is about 50 or 60 miles from where I live, so I'm guessing I will have the chance to see them in person. This single features just the title track, which really tells a tale of a waitress. Lead singer Anastasiya Protasevych and lead guitarist Michael Costelloe co-wrote the song, which is a solid mainstream rocker.

Working for a Good Tip
I dig the driving, blues rocking groove on this tune. There are some killer guitar fills built into it. The vocals have a soulful, gritty passion to them. The number has some hints of a honky tonk country sound, but it's all rock and roll. It's a catchy song that works well.
