Shania Twain

Still the One BluRay

Review by Gary Hill

How you feel about this video will depend on what you are looking for coming into it. If you want a live concert experience, you will likely be disappointed. On the other hand, if you want something closer to an epic length music video, you’ll love it. The problem is, the concert footage itself. Either Shania Twain lip-synched a lot of the show, or they weren’t happy with the live audio and overdubbed a lot of it. Additionally, there are a few points where the vocals are definitely digitally manipulated. Since I didn’t see the actual show live, I can’t tell you if that’s what the audience saw or not. All I can say is, this is not really so much a concert film. It is, however, quite entertaining. The stage production is amazing. With screens, sets, lasers, dancers and more, this is a real Vegas show. From that point of view, and the point of view of the video and audio on the set, you really can’t beat it.
