Lynyrd Skynyrd

Gone with the Wind DVD

Review by Gary Hill

This is basically an unauthorized biography as it includes only participation from three former members of Lynyrd Skynyrd (Bob Burns, Artimus Pyle and Ed King) along with some members of management and the record label staff. All that said, this is a pretty fascinating story. I’m sure the hardcore fans will know pretty much everything revealed here. For someone like me, who is more of a casual fan, there is plenty to learn from this. This documentary is over two hours long. It is, like most music documentaries, made up primarily of interviews and various archival clips. I’d highly recommend this, really. It’s quite a good film.
