The first official release from young prog rock band Corvus Stone stands out from the less serious releases from them I've heard here and there, that showcase their influences in easy fun ways.

Ice King
At first listen I was put off by the dark heavy lyrics of an Odin-esque figure in the song, but multiple listenings revealed swirling synths, and ethnic percussion aiding vocalist Carpenter's telling the tale of the Ice King. Overall, the song is a pleasant surprise (I was expecting to hear Nordic doom-metal), and highly listenable; a case of “less is more.”
