Tell Me (digital single)

Review by Gary Hill

This new single is intriguing. It's not overly unique or original. It works well, though. To me, the biggest selling point here is the evocative nature of the song. The sampled bits of talking from the "girlfriend" really add to the power of the piece.

Track by Track Review
Tell Me
The lyrics to this song are all about a betrayal in a romantic relationship. The cut packed with emotion from those words. At times those lyrics feel a bit awkward, though. Musically this lands in a trippy kind of electronic zone with some soul and R&B built into it. The vocals are a bit on the processed side. At times that lends to the sound. At other points it's a bit annoying. Overall this is a solid pop tune.
