Sometimes Amazon steers you right. I was on a CD-buying binge a few weeks ago and one of the links was to a band called Izz. "My River Flows," the fourth album by this NYC outfit, was ripe for the pickins, and I've found it to be full of well-crafted and innovative songs.

Sliver of A Sun

Definitely progressive rock in the '70's tradition, this album takes elements of many classic prog bands and combines them into a mix all their own. Among the bands who Izz seems to give a stylistic nod to are Yes, Genesis, UK, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, and Renaissance.
