Operation Livecrime DVD

Review by Gary Hill

This is the new first DVD release of the Ryche's classic Operation Livecrime video. The video is a live performance of the entire Operation Mindcrime album. The addition of stage visuals and the guest vocalist brging Sister Mary to life elevates this show almost to the level of rock opera. For those who own the video (now long out of print) there are quite a few new features that make the DVD a must have. Among those features are interview segments with Geoff Tate, a graphic story of the album, and a couple of hidden tracks (audio only with lyrics). You have to go to the band's website to find the clues to get to those hidden tracks, but once you do you are treated to great live recordings of two Queensryche classics. All in all, this DVD is a classy production.
