The Rolling Stones

Havana Moon BluRay/2CD

Review by Gary Hill

The Rolling Stones recently played their first concert ever in Cuba. This BluRay is a record of that show. I can't recommend it enough. It's astonishing to me that this guys have managed to stay so relevant for all these years. Watching them onstage (if you overlook the aging on their faces) it seems like you could be seeing them in the 1970s. It is so much the same band. I can't imagine arguing with the set-list here. Then when you add in the quality of the performance, this is just so great. They even include a double CD set so you can listen to the songs apart from the video. Both audio and video are top-notch. If you don't think you like the Stones, watch this video. You'll probably be hooked.

This review is available in book format (hardcover and paperback) in Music Street Journal: 2016  Volume 6 at lulu.com/strangesound.
