Todd Rundgren

A Dream Goes On Forever - The Continuing Story of Todd Rundgren Vol. 2: The Utopia Years – written by Billy James

Review by Gary Hill

Since the majority of this book, as the subtitle suggests, is about Utopia, I’m putting it under progressive rock. This is the second volume that Billy James has written about Todd Rundgren. Considering as prolific and unpredictable an artist as Rundgren is, there will probably need to be three or four more.

The book is quite an easy read, but it is fairly long. It’s packed with interviews and lots more. It gets into a lot of details and anyone who likes Rundgren, and particularly the Utopia era, will find it fascinating. All in all, this is quite a great book.
