Pär Lindh Project

In Concert: Live in Poland DVD

Review by Gary Hill

I had heard of Pär Lindh for a while, but had yet to hear him or this group. Well, the wait is over and it's a shame I waited this long. This concert DVD is a great set and showcases a powerful trio of musicians at their best - the live setting. The audio and video quality are both quite good and the performance is awesome.

The most obvious comparison is Emerson, Lake and Palmer, but there are other elements here, as well. At times I hear Yes in the mix and you'll probably make out other sounds here and there. The lineup includes William Kopecky (of Kopecy and Far Corner fame), Svetlan Råket and, of course, Pär Lindh. All musicians are purely inspiring on their instruments and the compositions and arrangements are top-notch.

The set includes such bonuses as an interview, bio, photo gallery and the other usual features. All in all, this a great set that will serve either as an excellent introduction or a "must have" addition to your Pär Lindh collection.
