Progressive Rock DVD/Video Reviews

Saga

Spin It Again BluRay

Review by Gary Hill

What an awesome product this is! The video and audio quality are top-notch. The performances are, as well. It should be mentioned that I reviewed the double CD audio release of this in this same issue of Music Street Journal. Look there for more specifics about the songs. Let’s just say that with Michael Sadler back, the Saga sound is on the money. I’ve always loved the keyboard heavy progressive rock sound these guys have. It’s obvious that having three guys who can play keys at various times really helps that sound. Still, they also have plenty of pop music and even some 1980s new wave in their trademark sound. This is a progressive rock band like no other. This is live video of that group at the top of their game and captured in style. They sound amazing and I’d recommend this to anyone – hardcore or casual Saga fan.
