Jaco Pastorius

Jaco the Film DVD

Review by Gary Hill

Jaco Pastorius is one of the most important bass players of all time. He’s certainly one of the most influential. His story is one of musical genius, talent and tragedy. It’s all captured here in this exceptional documentary. The film includes interviews, live clips and more that all serve to tell the tale. If that wasn’t enough, there is a second DVD with all kinds of bonus material. This is a great release for Jaco Pastorius’ fans. That said, it would also be an excellent introduction for those who aren’t familiar with this musical phenomenon.
