Steve Hillage

Live At Rockpalast 1977 DVD

Review by Gary Hill

This concert from Steve Hillage is very enjoyable. Since it was filmed for television, you can count on quality. In addition to his own music, Hillage and company perform tunes from George Harrison ("It's All Too Much") and Donovan ("Hurdy Gurdy Man"). The whole show is all class. You get both the DVD and a CD of the performance here. The thing is, while the DVD features the entire show, the CD only includes some highlights. This DVD does not include bonuses other than those extra tracks in comparison to the audio CD. As strong as this performance is, though, you really don't need bonuses.
