Steve Eulberg Between The Tracks Review by Gary Hill This release is an acoustic guitar solo album. As such it seems like it might be limited. The truth is, there is plenty of variety to it. When it comes to describing solo acoustic guitar music tracks, it's a bit daunting because there isn't that much factual difference. The truth is, the music never seems tired or redundant, though. Track by Track Review

Habits Built around a mellow groove, there is a playful, fun atmosphere to this sunny guitar solo piece.

For Emily A bit more song-like, it would be easy to imagine that this number has vocals in a different incarnation. Still, the instrumental work is solid.

Planxton's Farewell Gentle and evocative, this is such a beautiful piece of music.

Between the Tracks The title track has some hints of country in it. It's an energetic folk styled tune that seems like something Steve Howe might do on one of his solo albums.

Charlie's Wrinkle There is a lot of jazz in this fun number. It has a shuffling kind of energy and groove. It's another nice bit of variety.

Godspeed Intricate and reflective, this is another effective guitar solo.

Theatricum Bontanicum There is a bit more energy and a little bit of a groove to this piece.

The Guitar Twiddle There is a healthy helping of country music built into this folk styled tune. This is another feels like it should have vocals.

Morning Pages This piece is slow moving and more atmosphere than substantive. It provides a different mood and tone, but doesn't work as well as some of the others for me.

Eos A little more energized and playful, there are definitely jazz things in the mix here. I like this quite a bit.

Traded My Thyroid In The folk music is back on full display here. This reminds me of something you might hear on an Arlo Guthrie disc.

Guitar Etude No. 3 Here we get another jazzy exploration. This is tasty. There is a bit of a Latin vibe here.

Walking Down the Trail Another that makes me think of Steve Howe just a little, this is a playful folky sort of tune.
