Blynd Birds Songs To Sink Yachts To Review by Gary Hill This is quite an unusual set. It has such a wide range of sounds from nearly proggy things to classic rock sounds, punk and more. Yet, it all seems to work together. There are no missteps, and the set just gels from start to finish. Track by Track Review

Mr. Abbot's Misogyny Emporium I love the driving, rocking sound on this thing. It has some real class and style. The bass work is on fire. I'm reminded just a little of a proggy version of The Violent Femmes in an instrumental format.

Hand in the Till This driving, punky stomper is very cool. I love the guitar riffs and the vocals are classic. It's a real powerhouse that is a lot of fun.

Hate for Hire A bouncy number, this has more of a modern alternative rock sound to it. There are some echoey elements that work well. There is more of a mainstream pop rock groove to it at the end.

Burnt Plastic Here is another that has some proggy angles to it. I'm reminded a little of King Crimson on this thing. The tune is a hard rocker with a real driving groove and vibe. It's all class. The hard rocking guitar solo segment takes it in some intriguing directions.

Naked in a Booth This is a great rocker. It has a lot of timeless sound in it. Yet there is a decided modern edge in some ways, too. This is accessible and also punky. It's another strong tune on a disc full of strong tunes.

Watch Me Pass Out There is a 1970s glam rock vibe with some serious blues edge to this stomper. It's another fun romp.

Everybody Knows This is more of a 1970s pop rock song. It has some great hooks and a really classic sound to it.

The Otter & the Fox Built around acoustic guitar and vocals, this is an intriguing piece.

Your Bath is Boiling The album ends as it started, with an instrumental. This is fuzz-laden and classy.
