Horrorpops

Live At The Wiltern Blu-Ray, DVD and CD set

Review by Gary Hill

This live video set from Horrorpops is a great product, particularly in terms of the packaging. You get a CD and Blu-Ray and a DVD of the show all in one place, and it comes in a great digipack.

Going with another positive, the music and live performance are both top-notch, as is the audio. If you haven't heard this band, picture the Stray Cats, but with a female lead singer and bit more of a punky edge and some horror movie concepts in the lyrical department and maybe a bit of the Violent Femmes added for good measure. This music works really well.

I'm not so sure that the video works as well. It's shot with very professional equipment, but it's a bit hard to keep up with the rapid-fire camera angle changes. it's a little off-putting. However, that's  the only complaint I have about this, so that means that overall this is a great release.
