Warrant

They Came from Hollywood DVD

Review by Gary Hill

I have to admit going into this that I was never really a fan of Warrant. I didn’t really care for 80s metal in general because I was more into what I considered real metal, and thought of ‘hair metal” as a slap in the face to “real” metal fans. Now, I don’t take it all nearly that seriously now, but I still think most of it should have never been called metal. So, all that said, this is all pretty new stuff for me.

Clearly this didn’t make me a fan, but it did give me a greater appreciation. For fans all the video clips and stuff probably makes it worthwhile, although my understanding is that a lot of that is available elsewhere. I have to wonder if maybe I’m more the target audience because it did make a decent introduction for me. I’m sure completists will want to have this, too.
