Hair of The Dog - Rise
Review by Gary Hill
If you like your rock hard and fun, then this is definitely the album for you. The disc really has a nice '80's metal texture to it, and I say that in a good way.

Halcion Halo - Wild Heart
Review by Gary Hill
Is it heavy metal? Maybe, but then again maybe it’s not.

Halestorm - Reanimate 2.0: The Covers EP
Review by Scott Prinzing
With only six songs coming in at just under half an hour, this is still one rewarding EP.

Halford - Resurrection
Review by Gary Hill
The god of metal has returned! Rob Halford has come back to the metal fold, and if this first release is any indication, it should be a powerful and successful return.

Halford - Live Insurrection
Review by Gary Hill
This double live disc really shows why Judas Priest made a big mistake in not taking Rob Halford back. The album rocks out much better, and captures the Priest magic much closer than his old band's most recent live album.

Halford - Crucible
Review by Mike Korn
The name of this record should really be "Redemption". "Resurrection" was a very apt title for the debut Halford CD.

Hanover Fist - HF III
Review by Gary Hill

I have to admit that I never heard of this band before. They originally came out in the mid-90s, but honestly, their sound seems rooted in older eras, at least as represented here.

Havochate - Cycle of Pain
Review by Mike Korn
Once in a while, a band makes such a leap in quality between albums that it takes your breath away. This has definitely happened with Havochate.

The Heavils - The Heavils
Review by Mike Korn
Once in a great while, a band comes along that does something truly unique, something that gives the whole music scene a much needed kick in the rear , something that has never really been heard before.

Heavy AmericA - Now...
Review by Gary Hill
This new album is perhaps closest to stoner rock. There are some songs here that I absolutely love.

Helloween - Keeper of the Seven Keys Part II
Review by Gary Hill
Dating from 1988, this is early prog metal, and in many ways is more pure metal than prog metal. However, it does contain progish elements. The musicians on the album are Kai Hansen, Michael Weikath, Markus Grosskopf, Ingo Schwichenburg and Michael Kiske.

The Hidden Hand - Mother-Teacher-Destroyer
Review by Mike Korn
Mr. Scott Weinrich, known as "Wino" to friends and fans, has been a constant but low key presence on the American heavy music scene for close to three decades now.

High on Fire - Blessed Black Wings
Review by Patrick Hennen
Welcome back headbangers, this disc is a treat for me to do. This is my pick for an up and coming band that is truly going to devastate the world of metal.

High on Fire - Surrounded By Thieves
Review by Mike Korn
If ever an album cover gave you an idea of how the music within sounds, this would be the one. We have before us a horde of mail-clad warriors looking like they will kill anything that moves.

High Spirits - Hard to Stop
Review by Mike Korn
High Spirits is a Chicago-based band that is one of the many creations of multi-talented musician “Professor” Chris Black.

Hirax - The New Age of Terror
Review by Mike Korn
It may be a "new age of terror" but what we have here is a very familiar sound. That sound is old school thrash metal, and the band purveying it is truly one of the die-hards of that scene, Hirax.

Holocaust - Heavy Metal Mania: The Complete Recordings Volume 1 - 1980-1984
Review by Gary Hill
This band was part of the NWOBHM. The thing is, they were a lot less known than many of the other groups who were part of that movement.

Holy Mother - Agoraphobia
Review by Mike Korn
Now here is proof positive that you cannot judge a CD by its cover. The cover on this one almost certainly seems to indicate that you will be hearing some cheezy European power metal from a band of Hammerfall wannabes.

The Hope Conspiracy - Endnote
Review by Mike Korn
American hardcore music seems to be mutating minute by minute. Starting out as a kind of extra heavy punk with sing-along choruses, hardcore in recent years has added a ton of heavy metal elements and has experimented with highly bizarre and complex rhythms and time changes.

Huguenin - Where from Here
Review by Gary Hill
This act is from my hometown of Rockford, Illinois.

Hypocrisy - Into The Abyss
Review by Mike Korn
In 1992, a virtually unknown Swedish death metal band named "Hypocrisy" debuted with their initial effort, "Penetralia".
