Status Quo

Pictures: Live at Montreux 2009 DVD

Review by Gary Hill

I recently reviewed Status Quo’s most newest studio album and was not completely blown away by it. Well, after watching this video I have to say that in the live arena is obviously where this band becomes magic. These guys absolutely rocked! And with modern video recording capabilities you know the concert is captured well. And, since it’s at the Montreux Jazz Festival (yeah, I’ve discussed the poor naming of that festival many times over) you know the stage sound quality is great. So, all in all, this makes for an excellent concert video. It’s one of the better ones I’ve seen in a while and has me hoping Status Quo will come my way sometime soon.
