Live from Tokyo DVD

Review by Gary Hill

It’s something rock bands and music fans have known for years, Japan loves music. The Japanese culture around rock stars is intense. Well, not only do they respect and admire the artists who visit Japan, Japan has a lively and diverse music scene of its own. This DVD explores that scene. It’s a great way to learn about a lot of bands you might never hear otherwise. The bands cover a wide range of musical territory and the video is fun to watch, visually and musically exciting, and just plain cool. And, yet, it’s educational. How can you beat that?
