The Replacements

Color Me Obsessed – A Film about the Replacements DVD

Review by Gary Hill

I really love this DVD. The documentary has such a great flow to it, with rapid fire interview bits telling the story of the Replacements. A creative and artistic band, such an unusual way to do a documentary just seems really appropriate. While it’s one interview bit after another (from different people in succession), it doesn’t feel disjointed at all, but really flows better than a lot of documentaries I’ve seen. It’s the kind of thing that really holds your interest as it tells a story of an unusual and compelling band.
